Platforms are for most parts, cold and boring place to be at. But they are the gateways to new places you want to travel to. A journey is impossible without them. Except if you decide to stay on the same route your entire life. Not just in life, but also in fitness is this true. I'm on a platform at the moment both professionally and in my fitness. Professionally, because I finished a book project which occupied a good 7 months of this year. I'm on a platform to decide what to do next. Take the same train again and write another book, or travel on a new and different train for a while?
In fitness, because I need to evaluate what to tweak to reach a higher level in the future. What journeys to embark on to stay engaged and grow an understanding about how it all fits into my happiness in life.
Sitting on this platform is a necessary part, but the boredom is exciting in a strange way. It is like the silence before the storm, you know it leads to exciting times down the road.
